“Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you are right”. – Henry Ford.
My self-defence journey began over 25 years ago when I stepped into Puckett’s Noble House of Karate in Victoria, British Columbia. Under the watchful eye of Kyoshi Mike Puckett (Hanshi 9th degree black belt), I learned tools that I could apply to all aspects of my life and relationships, and continue to apply them daily. Over the years, my formal karate training evolved into kickboxing, jujitsu, and self-defence. I found a community of remarkable people whose support and unconditional love continue to propel me forward.
Teaching others to be confident, to have boundaries and self-awareness, as well as the ability to defend themselves, is a passion for me. As I give back to the communities around me, it is with respect and gratitude for all the other teachers and people in my life that have helped me along the way. It is truly a privilege to pay this forward.
